Due to the amount of sun we've seen today in west central Missouri, ground level temps are now favorable for strong storms that will have the potential for tornados, high winds, and large hail. Please be weather aware this evening into the night as these storms will likely hold their severe potential into the late hours. The storm prediction center has updated the severe outlook for today to include most of the state, about half of that being an enhanced rating. West central MO looks to have the greatest tornado potential in the state. Please take this time to prepare your storm shelter or make plans with someone to use theirs.
