As tropical storm Bill makes its way through texas it is dropping torrential rainfall. We will see the remenants of this storm move into Missouri late Wednesday night into Thursday by what I'm seeing from model data. NWS KC puts the timing 24 hours later. Either way, flash flooding and river/lake flooding will be an issue as the models expect it to leave some areas with 6 inches of rain or more. Anyone camping near a river, stream, or other body of water in or near the flood watch area should be careful to camp on high ground away from possible flood prone areas. I have included several images of rainfall totals for different times, along with the current flood watch that remains in effect through Friday.
