"It's not so much the heat as it is the gosh darned humidity..." The KC metro area will be under an excessive heat warning Friday afternoon into the early evening. Dangerously hot & humid conditions are expected Friday and possibly again on Saturday. Afternoon temps will top out in the lower to middle 90's, with heat indices in the triple digits. A widespread heat advisory remains in effect for most of the state Friday before shrinking to only the KC metro Saturday afternoon & early evening. Another wet weekend is forecast for northern Missouri. Locally heavy rains could prompt a few local flash flood warnings.
