NWS Now Reporting Three Tornadoes Last Night

New photo information has allowed the National Weather Service to locate three weak tornado paths. This is contrary to earlier reports that the damage was from straight-line winds.

An EF0 tornado track was discovered in Liberty, MO. Winds of 70-75 mph are estimated in the roughly 40 yard wide and 1.25 mile long path.

A very brief, small EF0 tornado in Olathe, KS with wind speeds of 70-75 mph has been identified.  The approximate width is 30 yards, the tornado was on the ground for about a 1/4 of a mile.

Lastly, this tornado tracked from Douglas to Johnson Counties in Kansas, just southwest of De Soto. A full track map will be released later this afternoon, as NWS Topeka finishes up their assessments.
