Only two more inches of rain needed in KC to bring us even with the rain totals for the entire year of 2012. More importantly if 2.25 inches fall by Monday it will break the record set in 1904 for the most rain ever recorded in KC from April 1st through June 15th. With that being said.... it's very possible we will indeed break that record. Rain chances start to climb Wednesday night into Thursday continuing throughout the weekend and into next week. Strong storms may be possible Thursday, but extremely severe weather is unlikely for most of the area for the next few days. I've included a current copy of the 7pm model for Thursday, and a couple other charts with pretty colors to look at. I'll be keeping an eye on the model data and let you know more when I can.
