Severe weather chances for today

Ok so this severe weather trend we've had the past few days isn't quite over yet.... the southern half of the state lands in the slight chance risk for tornados today. That's however not my main concern.... My focus is on the torrential rainfall that is expected today in a line south of Nevada, MO to St. Louis,  MO. We're talking 7+inches of rain today. This will cause major flooding of rivers and streams that we normally don't see flood. Be very careful driving today and remember #TADD (TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN). If you see water over the road, turn around and find an alternate route. Ok so that being said. Most of you have probably caught wind of the winter weather chances for the beginning of the week.... well you're not dreaming, there is a good chance we will see a sleet/snow mix monday. It's not set in stone yet the exact amounts or the exact location. Just a few degrees difference in the upper atmosphere will determine if we get rain, sleet, or snow.
